Mary Poppins was established in 2000 and is a purpose built nursery based in Romford Essex. The unique design of the setting ensures that the children in our care have their individual needs met and their safety and security is paramount. Our policies and procedures ensure children are welcomed in to a secure and safe non judgemental environment without discrimination or prejudice by our fully qualified team of staff.

Many of our staff team have been employed by the company for over four years and as a result of this we have a very strong team relationship, this creates a harmonious working atmosphere and demonstrates positive role models for the children in the setting.

All of our staff are checked for their suitability by the criminal records bureau and we check references for each member of staff. Students and volunteers are never left alone with children and are supervised at all times.

Staff in our setting hold a level 3 or above qualification in childcare and education and are all given training in paediatric first aid and food hygiene awareness. Ongoing training throughout the year ensures that our team have access to updated knowledge of new legislation and good practice. We have a bank of staff to call upon to cover staff absence and holidays and mid day assistants to help with lunch times, ensuring staff / child ratio is maintained at all times.
